Why do you want to go for some other domain when you have done MCA from IGNOU. Had it been MBA I would have suggested to try it. But why do you want to go for M.Tech after doing MCA. As it is that MCA is already a technological genre. Now, again you want to one more of that and not indulge into some jobs? why so? If you have completed MCA then straightway go for any IT sector jobs. Try for companies in web portals like www.naukri.com or www.monsterindia.com or www.quikr.com or www.durgajobs.com etc. Upload your current bio data and also give your proper preferences as which locations and which designations you want your job in. You will get the list of jobs that matches their database with your job preference.

Can i get admission in any other regular MCA colleges after completing BCA from ignou?

As you have completed your BCA and you will do MCA From IGNOU,thus you will be eligible to apply for GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

Eligibility required for GATE Exam :- The Following Categories of candidates will be eligible to apply for GATE Exam -

• Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture of 4 year's from recognized university.
• Master degree holders in any branch of science/mathematics/Computer Application.

Next GATE exams would be held in January 2014


Eligibilty to apply for the GATE exams is:
>> BE/BTECH/BARCH pass or Final year student

Eligibility For GATE

The candidates appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering must have the following minimum qualifications :-

>> The applicant must have completed his/her engineering from a recognized University and there should be no pending backlogs at the time of appearing for the GATE Exam..

>> The candidates who have completed their M.Sc. or MCA in any discipline can also appear for the exam..

>> Dual degree candidates are also eligible to appear for GATE..

So yes you are definitely eligible to appear for GATE Examination after completing your MCA and IGNOU is a recognized institute so you dont have to worry..

Yes you are eligible to apply for GATE if you have done MCA from IGNOU.

IGNOU is a recognized distance education University so you are definitely eligible to apply for MCA. Thus you should start preparing for it as soon as possible because is a very competitive examination conducted by IITs.

Also B.Tech. complete candidates are eligible to apply for GATE. So if you are B.Tech. then you should also start preparing for the exam.

There is no age criteria for GATE so you don't have to worry about it.

But if you want to get Junior Research Fellowship then you must ensure that you are below 28 years of age .

GATE score will help you in getting admission into top M.Tech colleges like IITs and IISc Bangalore with scholarship sponsored by AICTE.

Also GATE qualified are considered for JRF in their respective field over non GATE qualified.

There is PSUs like GAIL, BHEL , SAIL, NTPC , ONGC etc which recruit Executive trainee on the basis of GATE score.

Also GATE qualified candidates can go for Doctorate in their respective field.

After completing BCA from Indira Gandhi National Open University you are eligible to get admission in MCA regular in any college or university. Some of the universities are providing admission through entrance examination conducted by themselves or or any other agency.
If you are looking to take admission in Central University then you have to clear the Central University common entrance test.
