Re: Information about MBA after AMIE electrical?
Don't worry because you are certainly eligible for MBA after completing AMIE Engineering. In order to get admission in any MBA college you will first have to appear in Common Admission Test (CAT) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT) exam. Here are the details of both exams:
The eligibility criteria for Common Admission Test (CAT) is following:- Firstly you need a Bachelor's degree or something equivalent course from any recognised university in India. You meet the first requirement. You need to secure at least 50 per cent marks in the Bachelor's degree or the equivalent course if you belong to the general category. If from SC/ST etc you get 5 per cent relaxation thus needed at least 45 per cent marks to appear in CAT exam. If you passed the CAT exam with flying colors you would be able to secure a seat in any recognized MBA institute in India. However in case you do not meet the percentage criteria don't worry because that is where MAT exam comes into picture. MAT which stands of Management Aptitude Test is for MBA aspirants who fail to meet the percentage criteria of CAT exam. This test does not have any percentage criteria. MAT exam takes place four times a year and is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). The eligibility is very simple for this exam. You need a Bachelor's degree or something equivalent just like the Common Admission Test. If you passed the MAT exam, you can apply in universities that accept MAT scores. These universities may offer you seat for the MBA course. |
