Re: Are integrated courses self financed? Fee structure details of the courses?
There are so many kind of integrated courses. Normally universities have integrated M.Tech courses. This means, once you get enrolled for B.Tech course, you will get automatically promoted to M.tech course. You do not have to sit for any separate GATE examination, to get enrolled in M.Tech. Now there is one problem. People sometimes like to do B.Tech only as doing B.Tech itself will offer them jobs worth Rs. 20,000 per month. So many don't wish to invest lacs of rupees and study M.Tech. So in that case if you join an integrated B.Tech, then you will have to study M.Tech in that institute. Some colleges even have B.Tech and MBA in integrated format. The cost of B.Tech is around Rs. 50,000 per semester, whereas cost for M.Tech is just its double. For MBA the cost is much more. The entire course fee can raise upto 10 lacs. But whether you do B.Tech and M.Tech or B.tech and mBA you need not give any separate entrance examination to get admitted. Being a student of B.tech you will become a default student of the master's course.
