friend civil engg. is a core branch and hence its demand will never cease what's more with a rise in the real estate sector the civil engg. has saw an unprecedented boom! so there are large no. of companies from real estate groups like mgf,dlf,parshvnath etc. to manufacturing companies like lafarge,ambuja group etc. that recruit civil engineers. also u may apply for a variety of govt. exams like ies,eil,sail etc.

Civil engineering and jobs in India mostly start on a low responsibility note. The tasks become more and more responsible as they demonstrate their level of proficiency in the required field.
However the fine points of their career path can fluctuate sometimes. The basic qualification that is needed is a bachelor in engineering.
Of course one can always add on further qualifications. One very important thing is that all those who seek to study civil engineering should have a strong background in Mathematics and Physical sciences. Civil engineers often work in diverse settings varying from plush modern offices to job sites in extremely remote areas. One thing is for sure that the job often involves frequent traveling.

Most of the engineers work in teams or in synchronization with a lot of other engineers. They can also work as autonomous consultants. There are varied fields of interest with civil engineer jobs in India. They are mostly structural, water resources, environmental, geo-technical etc. Another vital thing to be discussed is the remuneration part that totally depends upon the type of industry. They can work in state or central government or private concerns etc or overseas civil engineering jobs. But whatever the work, the salary is given in quite a balanced proportion. There may be variations in the salary but on the whole the job of civil engineering is quite in demand in India.

The rest mostly worked in construction. It is expected that civil engineer jobs will increase much faster than the average for all occupations through 2018. More civil engineers will be needed to design and build things as the population grows.

quite difficult dear....because nowadays every company sets their criteria for elligible student and the elligilibity is 60percent of most of the company..every company check the academic record of applicant..if your academic record is poor then they preffer other applicant whose academic record is beeter than you...so my advice,,,do your +2 again with atleast 60 percent..

Does DLF comes in any of the engineering colleges for campussing?

sir i am a ece graduate(2006 passout).after a year i got a job in nokia siemens network as a monitoring engineer.i worked there for 2 years but due to some health problems i resigned my job then i didn't get job in any company.then i did a short course plc automation but unfortunately i didn't get job pls help me for my carrier.

i hv scored 86% in 10th n 78% in 12th so do i get placement if i'll do civil engg.

sir i am passout in 2001. then i am working with some developers companies for 2 years .then i got job in L&T as a maneger. but now i want a job in my hometown (nagpur) can i get the job.
