Which types of job are available for me after completing 3 year Diploma in Civil Engineering? I was thinking to do job for 2 years and then do B.Tech. Is it a good choice?

After completion of diploma there are certain jobs available but not good one. If you can clear SSC Junior Engineer exam then it will be a good choice for you.

Private jobs will take your important time of studies. Instead of that, you can apply for Lateral Entry Entrance test to become eligible for admission in second year of Bachelor of Technology directly. Minimum of 60% marks in diploma is required.

The most suitable government job option for you is to apply for Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer entrance examination.

Eligibility criteria for SSC JE exam:

*Diploma candidates from a recognized university can apply for exam.

*The age limit is 18-27 years.

In private sector, jobs will be of less salary and more work. You can apply for LEET exam later on to pursue Bachelor of Engineering course. But for this examination, you should have minimum of 60% marks.
