For getting into the ISRO you need M.Tech and phd degrees as a minimum qualification. So write now this is not possible for you to join ISRO directly after the B.Tech.
ISRO is the space research organisation so you need to have degrees is aerodynamics, Astro physics and other space related subjects.
So as your branch is electronics and communication, there is less percentage for getting jobs in the space research organisations. But you don't get disappoint you try you will get some jobs in ISRO.

ISRO every year conducted a test in which there is the lots of vacansies available for the different branches you are EC student you are eligible for the ISRO.

•Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2009-10 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree is available by 31.8.2010

You can have your Aim in mind, but brining that out is very difficult friends. exam will be very hard, you should starting preparing from the first very itself to clear the exam, u should have every basic knowledge

You can join Scientist/Engineering post at ISRO after your B.Tech.

ISRO offers post for Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Industrial Engineering & Management.

Eligibility :-

Age Limit: 35 years as on 20-10-2010.

you have to get in to isro in two ways

through GATE score

by the examination which will be self conducted by ISRO itself

You can join ISRO by appearing for recruitment test which they hold every year. Cut off for that exam is 60% I guess, but having higher percentage always give you edge.

if they publish a vacancy directly for electronics then you can apply
either you can go through GATE score.

With regards to you query for joining ISRO directly after B.tech then i tell you that you can surely join it because ISRO generally wants B.tech guys and for that they conduct exams all over india.Now B.tech guys are lucky one that they directly get the exposure of such a big organization.

But the criteria which they set is of 65% atleast throughout your studies and you should done your B.tech from electronics and communication.And i don't think that could a difficult task.

So don't think to much and just prepare well and go for it.And regularly check ISRO website for they recruitment purpose.

Surely, you can join ISRO after completing your B.Tech course.

You can apply for the post of Scientists/Engineer in ISRO. The details are as follows:

Academic Qualification: Candidates need to be a first class BE/B.Tech or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 65%. Final year students can also apply, provided they are able to submit the passing certificate within the prescribed time limit.

Age : Maximum age of the candidate should be 35 years, Age relaxations exists as per Govt rule.

How to apply:
Candidates can apply online. Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs.100/-. Demand draft (DD) for the ISRO application fee of Rs.100/- from any of the Nationalized Bank should be drawn in favour of the Sr. Accounts Officer, ISRO HQ, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore.

Exams will be conducted by ISRO itself. You must be good with the basic concepts in electronics and communication subjects. Normally communication paper are most important. always this will takes place during III week of april every year.

Hi.

If you want to get into ISRO directly after B.Tech, you have to sit for an entrance exam or All India exam called GATE .

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

This is the exam on the basis of whose score ISRO would call candidates for the recruitment procedure.

So apply for this examination, or you can go for your M.Tech first and then apply directly in the company.

M.Tech would be more beneficial if you want to go in a Space research field in ISRO.
