The exam conducted for the recruitment in the Indian Police Service is known as the Civil Services Exam which is conducted every year by the UPSC..

Candidates willing to appear for the exam must have the following minimum eligibility criterion :-

The candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized University..

2) Candidates must be in the age limits of 21-30 years (age relaxation for the reserved categories..)

Maximum number of attempts allowed for general is 4, for OBC its 7 and no limit for SC/ST
