NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.This exam is conducted by UPSC.

NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:

• Indian Air Force
• Indian Navy
• Indian Army

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam.Commerce student are applicable for only Indian Army branch.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

This is the NDA II notification so you can apply here through UPSC website.NDA I exam date already over for this year.

EXAM DATE FOR NDA II EXAM:-

• Date of commencement of notification : 05-05-2012
• Last date for the receipt of completed application forms : 04-06-2012

The science questions are mostly from CBSE syllabus of class XI. Quick reference of The Competition Success will improve your general knowledge. Read magazines, newspapers and underline the difficult words and look them in the dictionary. Please prepare for test and interview by adding more and more English words to your vocabulory. Hindi can be used in the Services Selection Board. Questions are not repeated in the test.

How and Where To Get the Results

Results will be available on the official website of UPSC. So the candidates are required to visit the website in a regular basis. There are many other sites providing this information like http://www.nda.nic.in.

Expected sectional cutoffs

It is difficult to predict cut-off marks as it keep changes every year. If you score 40% in all subjects you have a good chance.

NDA 2010 Cutoff

Geography - Minimum number of questions need to be correct for optional subject= 84-95
Indian History –for optional subject =95-98 questions
Mathematics – for optional subject=68 questions
Political Science – for optional subject =90+ questions
Public Administration– for optional subject =84-98 questions
Sociology - for optional subject = 94-100 questions

Score Validity

The score is valid for the present year’s admission process only. It is not valid next year.

This is second notification by UPSC and this is last chance for this year because upsc conduct this exam twice in a year so fill the form and give exam

Qualifications :

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :-
12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :-
12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1994 and not later than 1st January, 1997 are eligible.

The registration process for NDA-II 2012 has already been over as the last date to fill the NDA form was on 04.06.2012 which was the last date to receive the form. The exam is going to be held on 19.08.2012.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY entrance exam is conducted twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II by UPSC for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate interested for NDA must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental physique.

If you are interested for NDA then you have to wait till the notification for NDA-I to be announced towards the end of the year followed by exam on April 2013.

NDA i.e National Defense Academy :

This is conducted by the union public service commission under the defense service every year 2 times, so now you are searching for the last date for applying the NDA II exam and so sorry say to that i.e the last date to apply online for NDA-II exam is 4 June 2012 and written exam will be conducted on 19 August 2012.

Last Date To Fill NDA Forms

The NDA(National Defence Academy) Exam is conducted every year in the months of April and August by the UPSC..

Candidates appearing for the NDA Exam must have the following minimum qualifications :-

>> Candidate must be an unmarried male

>> Candidate must be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

>> candidate must have completed 12th from a recognized board(with MAths and Physics if applying for Air Force or Navy)

>> candidate must be physically fit to clear the medical exam..

There are 3 rounds to be cleared for the exam..

>> Written Test
>> Interview Round
>> Medical Exam

The written exam consists of 2 papers which shall test you on :-

>> General Ability Test
>> English

The forms for the NDA-1 2013 were available from 22nd December,2012 to 21st January,2013

The exam shall be conducted on 7th April,2013
