The forms should be available towards the end of March. You will have around a months time to submit the same. You can make the payment by cash or DD. If you apply in the centers directly in person then you will get the hall ticket immediately. Be on the lookout for notifications for the same.

TANCET 2011 Application Form !!

TANCET 2011 notification has not come yet. It will come in the Month End or starting week of April.

keep tracking Local Dailies and Even www.annauniv.edu for Notification in that Period.

Tancet Application Form will be Available in Two modes,

One is through Offline from Different Colleges like Annamalai university, Govt. College of Tech. , Govt.. Polytechnic College, Institute of Toad and Transport technology and many more.

Hall tickets will be issued if candidates who come in person to the above coordinating Centers with a copy of 10th Std. mark sheet and 12th Std. mark sheet & cash or Demand Draft(Specified in TANCET 2011 Site.)

secondly Forms will be made available Online after Notification @ www.annauniv.edu

TANCET exam date.

Tamil Nadu common entrance exam is conducted every year for the
various courses like MBA,MCA,M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan.

Every year this exam is conducted during the month of
May and notification for exam will come in april. So it is expected
that the notification for the examination will be published during
the month of april.

Application from
The TANCET exam application form can be directly obtained
at the centre which are given on the notification.

The form can also by obtained by post. Candidate has to send
a demand draft with a application for form of TANCET exam.

The candidate can also fill the online form. The online form is

The Anna University (Chennai) will conduct the 2011 edition of the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) will be last week of may 2011 and the regarding form will be available in last week of march.
It is mandatory for students aspiring to join MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, M.Arch and MPlan postgraduate degree courses to appear for the TANCET.

The TANCET will be conducted in various centres in Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Karaikudi, Tirunelveli, Vellore, Chidambaram, Salem, Thanjavur, Villupuram, Virudhunagar, Nagercoil, Madurai and Karaikudi, a university press release said. A notification regarding the TANCET will be issued soon.

A number of candidates appear for the TANCET examination every year in Tamil Nadu for getting admission in best courses and colleges. Not only candidates from Tamil Nadu, but also candidates from outside Tamil Nadu can appear for TANCET, but there are certain rules for these candidates.

TANCET is conducted for admitting students to the courses like M. Plan, M. Arch, M. Tech, M.E, MCA and MBA. The eligibility criteria for TANCET examination for each of these courses for the year 2010 is given below:

MBA and MCA: The candidate applying for TANCET MBA/MCA should be a graduate from a recognized university of any discipline. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation course can also apply for TANCET MBA/MCA. In the case of TANCET MCA, the candidate should have studied statistics/mathematics at their diploma/+2 level or graduation.

M. Tech/M.E: The candidate should be a B. Tech/B.E graduate in the respective disciple, in which the candidate wishes to do M. Tech/M.E. Even candidates in the final year of their graduation course can also apply for TANCET examination.

M. Plan/M. Arch: The candidate should have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in planning/architecture. Even candidates in their final year of their graduation/post-graduation course can also apply.

Availability of Application forms:


The forms will be available directly from various centers as notified in the advertisement and hall ticket will be issued on-spot. The form can also be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.Candidates can also download the form online through the website www.annauniv.edu. There will be a common form for all the programmes and candidates who want to appear for more than one programme has to pay additional examination fees for every programme.

Anna University TANCET 2011 Application Form is common for all the three entrance tests. Candidates have to submit only one application. A candidate applying for more than one programme has to pay 300/- ( 150/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu).
