I am the trainee of NTTF (tool &die) from dharwad. I was studying in 6th sem (final year) tell me the entrance exams date for railway jobs? and shall I write this exam? Please tell me sir. I need to know to write the exam and get the job. Awaiting for your answer.

List of entrance exams to get employment in railway sector:

Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination:

A candidate must have passed 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics as the main subject. A candidate should not exceed 21 years of age.

Railway officers examination:
The various exam are:

Indian Railways account service
Indian Railway traffic service
Indian Railways service of Engineers
Indian railway service of Electrical engineers
Indian Railway services of signal engineers
Indian Railway Store service

To apply for railways you need to have minimum 12th qualification from the recognized board. And also you have to give entrance called " RRB exam. Then you will be eligible for various posts under railway board.

Some professional posts also available for some other graduates who have completed professional graduation. Like B.Tech candidates can apply for " Indian Railways " . IES is the entrance exam for Group A posts in Indian Railways.

Through GATE score also you can also apply for Railway jobs.

The entrance exam which you can opt for joining railway are:

# RRB (Railway Recruitment Board)
# SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices)

There are eligibility criteria which you need to satisfy in order to apply for any of this exam and they are:

For RRB:

# Candidate should have a citizenship in India.

# Age limit needed is 18-30 years for Non-technical cadre. For Technical cadre post it is 18-33 years.

# Educational qualification needed is bachelor degree from a recognized university for non-technical cadre. In the case of technical cadre you need to have completed +2 with physics and maths.

For SCRA:

# Candidate should have a citizenship in India.

# Age limit needed is 17-21 years.

# Educational qualification needed is completed +2 with physics, mathematics and chemistry as subjects.


If you satisfy the criteria's for the respected exam then you can apply for it.
