IAS-Indian Administrative Service. UPSC conducts this exam every year once, the eligibility and other details are given below: Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be complete any bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Final year exams appearing candidates also eligible. You should be a citizen of INDIA. Percentage is not required for this exam. Age criteria:- The age limits are 21years to 30years, 3years relaxation for OBC candidates, 5years relaxation for SC/ST candidates. IAS examination is the civil service examination, which is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION (UPSC) every year. Through this civil service examination, you can apply for the Indian administrative & police services. In order to become a IAS officer, you must have to crack the civil service examinations . This civil service examination has three stages to be clear - 1. CSAT (CIVIL SERVICE APTITUDE TEST) 2. MAINS 3. INTERVIEW. CIVIL SERVICE EXAM PATTERN- CSAT exam pattern- Educational qualification- A candidate must required atleast a graduation degree in any stream, but from a recognized college,. There is not any kind of minimum marks requirement criteria for being eligible for this civil service examination. It should be remembered that IAS exam is only for the Indian nationals. Although the other civil service exams can be given by candidates of other nationals like Nepal, Bhutan etc. but for IAS you have to be a citizen of India. This is an important criteria. As far as the educational qualification is concerned you need to be a graduate to sit for this exam. This degree can be attained in any discipline of your choice. It needs to be a valid one. The preliminary examination can also be given by candidates who are in the final year and planning to give the final qualifying exam or is waiting for the results to come out. Before the main exam though they should have passed the qualifying exam. Age Limitation:-

IAS Mains - LIST OF SUBJECTS
LIST OF SUBJECTS FOR MAINS EXAMINATION Literature of one of the following languages : Arabic, Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, Dogri, Chinese, English, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Pali, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu. Important Notes: (i) Candidates will not be allowed to offer the following combinations of subjects: – (a) Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration; (b) Commerce & Accountancy and Management; (c) Anthropology and Sociology; (d) Mathematics and Statistics; (e) Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. (f) Management and Public Administration; (g) Of the Engineering subjects, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering–not more than one subject. (h) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science. (ii) The question papers for the examination will be of conventional (essay) type. Total number of questions in the question papers of optional subjects will be eight. All questions will carry equal marks. Each paper will be divided into two parts, viz. Part A and Part B, each part containing four questions. Out of eight questions, five questions are to be attempted. One question in each part will be compulsory. Candidates will be required to answer three more questions out of the remaining six questions, taking at least one question from each part. In this way, at least two questions will be attempted from each Part i.e. one compulsory question plus one more. all the best ias aspirants.. |

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. This exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission once in a year. Selection Process: Preliminary Exam Main Exam Interview List of Optional Subjects for IAS: Agriculture, Animal husbandry and Veterinary science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil engineering, Commerce, Economics, Electrical engineering, Geography, Geology, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical engineering, Medical science, Philosophy, Physics, Political science, Psychology, Public administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology. Syllabus for Mains exam:- General studies-I: History, Geography of India, Indian polity, Human Resource development, Human rights. General studies-II: India and world(India's position in global happenings ), India economy, planning, trade, and rural development, Development of natural resources, Development of sciences and technology, Statistics, analysis and graphs and diagrams. |
