Myself Mrs. Archana S. Lavate . I have done my M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry from Pune university.
My age is 33.
My questions is wheter I can appear for the net and set examination held by UGC for my subject or now I can't .
I want to know the age factor for the same.
Pl sir can u guide me on this?

Dear Friend

You are eligible to appear the SET or NET examination.
The age limit is applied only for those who are appearing for JRF.
Otherwise there is no age limit.
The NET in Major Science Subjects, viz., Chemical Sciences; Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. The concerned notifications are issued separately by CSIR.

there is no any restriction on age factor in SET - NET exam.
Person of any age can give these exams. You are eligible for SET - NET exam.

yes you cann definitely appear for the NET and the SET exams as there is no upper limits for these exams..you are definitely eligible...

its nice that you are 35 but still want to get going...well for your good news there is no upper limit on age for NET and you are 100% eligible for the exam looking at the age limits but there is other criteria also you need to see...

yes friend according to my knowledge you are definitely eligible to appear for the SET and NET exams...but you need to follow the syllabus they tell and subjects any vary from actually what you studied...
