Re: Minimum marks required to appear for IBPS exam? I am a B.A graduate with MBA done recently
There is no minimum percentage of marks required for IBPS P.O. exam. Only a pass in Graduation is sufficient to apply for IBPS P.O. exam along with other eligibility criteria.
To be eligible for IBPS Bank P.O. exam, one must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidate for 5 years and for OBC for 3 years. with good command over computer. As you are a Graduate with MBA, you can apply for IBPS bank P.O. exam provided you are within the prescribed age limitation. For more information you may log on to http://www.ibps.in |

Re: Minimum marks required to appear for IBPS exam? I am a B.A graduate with MBA done recently
What is IBPS exam? IBPS – India banking personal selection. IBPS exam is conducted every year. IBPS is a private organization which helps many public sector banks to recruit banking personal or manager officials PO Specialist officer IT officer Clerk etc. And there are more than 82 public sector banks are associated with the IBPS organization. And the few banks which are associated with IBPS are All these associated banks will recruit the personal through the common channel via IBPS. IBPS Exam structure IBPS exam are conducted twice a year. Apart from the common written exam (CWE), and once the applicants had cleared the exam then each and every bank will have special process for recruitment in their own bank. So the applicant can go through the selection procedure in that particular bank and can apply for the same. So the basic criterion to approach all these banks for recruitment process is the scores from IBPS exam. The question paper type for clearing the IBPS exam will different for each and every year. And this year the basic structure of IBPS exam is given below. IBPS Exam Pattern : Basic eligibility criteria for applying IBPS exam- 1. The age limit of the applying for IBPS exam should include that the candidate must be within 30 years. But under certain privileges, the age limit can be extended like mentioned below. a. If the person is physically challenged then the age relaxation given is 10 years. b. If the person is a ex-service man from military or from central government bodies then relaxation up to 3 years is given. c. Suppose if the applicant belong to ST/SC community group then relaxation up to 5 years is given. d. For the other backward community with proper certificate then relaxation up to 3 years is given. 2. The second criterion is that the citizen should be from India. But if suppose other country citizens are participating then there are certain norms like, If the citizen is from Bhutan or Nepal and he came to India after 1962 on the basis of seeking permanent resident ship then the candidate is eligible to write IBPS exam. The same holds for the candidates who are coming from Vietnam, Srilanka etc. they should be citizen from India. If they produce the proper certificate then the candidates are considered to be eligible. 4. The candidates who are applying for the banking personal post, they should have minimum 60% of marks in all the graduation. There is no particular field specialization is required. 5. The candidates seeking for banking personal or office assistant, they should be proficient in their local language. 6. Candidates seeking Managerial post, they should have 60% marks in specialized field such as management in marketing, management in finance, charted accountant etc. 7. And also the candidates should have work experience from 2-5 years based on the scale level of the managerial post. 8. Educational qualification and the eligibility criteria differ from grade of the personal. FOR PO FOR SPECIALIST OFFICER FOR CLERK POST Good luck |

Re: Minimum marks required to appear for IBPS exam? I am a B.A graduate with MBA done recently
I wonder why do you want PSU Bank job? You have already worked in much better companies like General Electricals, BOA and Barclay's. Surely you can get a much better paid job in the private sector therefore I can't understand the reason to work in Public Sector Banks. Also I must mention that you are over qualified for these jobs. IBPS Clerical and Bank PO requires a graduation degree where you have completed post graduation.
I really don't think that you should apply for the job, either I believe you would be able to do so because you will not be able to meet the age criteria. You have already passed the age limit for the IBPS Clerk which is 28 years. The age limit for IBPS Bank PO is 30 years but since the next time this exam will take place in 2013, you will not be able to make the cut for this one either. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. Age limit is 20 to 28 years which is applicable to General category. 2. For OBC age limit is relaxed by 3 years. 3. SC/ST are eligible for 5 years relaxation. 4. A graduation degree in any stream is required. IBPS Bank PO Eligibility 1. A graduation degree from a recognized university. 2. Age limit is 20 to 30 years. 3. Age limit for OBC is 20 to 33 years. 4. While for SC/ST, age limit is 20 to 35 years. Unless you belong with reserve category there is no chance for you to appear for any of the two exams. Therefore you must forget about IBPS Exams and instead look for job related to your qualification. If you have completed MBA in Finance or Banking then you should be able to find a job in private banks like ICICI, HDFC, Standard Chartered, IDBI, Axis Bank etc. |

Re: Minimum marks required to appear for IBPS exam? I am a B.A graduate with MBA done recently
The new eligibility criteria for IBPS Clerk Common Written Exam 2013
You must have a degree Until now, even +2 pass candidates were allowed to sit for bank exams. However, starting this year, the criteria has been changed. For IBPS Clerk CWE 2013, you must have a valid degree from a recognized university. If you don’t have a valid degree, you are not eligible for the test. You must have computer skills This is another significant change that has happened in IBPS Clerk Exam 2013’s criteria. At the time of application, you need to show proof that you have basic computer skills. This proof could be your mark sheet of +2, if you had computer science as a subject, or a certificate course from a recognized institute such as NIIT. Age limit The lower age limit for IBPS Clerk Exam 2013 is 20 years, while the upper age limit is 28 years. This remains unchanged over the previous years. Application to only one state This year, you can apply to national banks in one state only. In order to apply to a particular state, you must be fluent in the local language of the state. All the best.... |

First thing that you should know is that IBPS exam is conducted for 20 public sector banks. And there is an eligibility criteria for this exam. IBPS exam conducts Bank PO / Bank clerk and specilats officer exam. For Bank PO and Clerk exams only graduation is necessary, percentage does not matter. To be eligible for IBPS bank exams -- You should be a graduate in any subject from any recognised university. For Bank PO exam, Your age should be between 20 years to 30 years. For Bank clerk exam, your age should be between 20 years to 28 years. The age relaxation for OBC is 3 years and SC/ST is 5 years. You should know how to use computers. SO, if you have already crossed 30 years of age and you are a general category candidate, then you are not eligible for Bank Clerk and Bank PO exam. However, since you have done MBA, you can apply for Specialist officer exam. The specialist exam is conducted for various departments. and age required is between 21 years to 35 years. The entry level positions in various banks are

The selection procedure would involve Written Exam Interview Here is the eligibility criteria that is required for the candidates to apply for these positions. Academic Qualification : One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream to apply for Clerical Positions. But to apply for PO positions, one should have completed Graduation with a minimum of 60% of marks from a recognized university.
