WHAT IS THE PASSING MARKS IN THE CPT DEC 2012?

Chartered Accountancy or CA is the course which can be taken after completing 12th. The first stage of CA is Common Proficiency Test which is also known as CPT for the short. There has been changes made by ICAI to clear the Common Proficiency Test.


As you may know there are total of four subjects in the Common Proficiency Test:-

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude


These four subjects are divided into two groups. To qualify the exam, you must score 30 percent marks in each group. This is the criteria to clear the Common Proficiency Test for Chartered Accountancy.



Integrated Professional Competancy Course

After clearing Common Proficiency Test, you must take admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course (IPCC). There are total of 7 subjects in the IPCC that are divided into 2 groups.

2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication

3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management

4. Taxation



Group 2

5. Advanced Accounting

6. Auditing and Assurance

7. Information Technology and Strategic Management



Final Course

3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics

4. Corporate and Allied Laws
