Common Proficiency Test Details Regarding CPT: -> Its an objective type examination of 4 hours duration divided into 2 sessions of 2 hours each. ->Each session consists of two subjects with a total marks of 100.The examination is a multiple choice examination with negative marking of .25 for each wrong answer. ->To qualify CPT,a student has to obtain a total of 50% marks in all the papers together. |

Examination Pattern - One Paper of 200 Marks Divided in to Two Session of 2 hours Each. Subject - Accounts - 60 marks Mercantile law - 40 marks Economics - 50 marks Maths + Stats - 50 marks Exam Qualifying Creteria - You Have To Scored Minimum 50% Marks in Aggregate And 30% in Each Subjects. CPT EXAM Query ! Quote:
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) Includes These Subjects in the Exam:Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude Accounting is Of 60 Marks , For Mercantile Laws its 40 , For General Economics its 50 and For other One its also 50. Passing % :- You Should score at-least 50% Overall Subjects to Crack CA-CPT. And yes Individual Marks also effects a lot you need to crack 30% in each Subject that means if a paper is of 50 marks then minimum Passing marks For this will be 15. And In CA-CPT Pattern Maximum marks is 200 and To get Pass in this Exam you need to score at-least 100 Marks i.e 50%. Note* They do have Negative Marking for the same So be careful while attempting a question. If you are Not sure then Do think afterwards after attempting known ones. |

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry Stage test for Chartered Accountancy Course.
THE exam pattern consists of 4 hours of two papers and each of 2 hours.. Syllabus session I Section A consists of Fundamental of Accounting of 60 marks Section B consists of Mercentalie Law of 40 marks. session II Section A consists of General Economics of 50 marks Section B consists of Quantitative of 50 marks. you need to get at least 55% in overall session and 30% in each subject......to crack cpt.. Education eligibility:-- minimum 12 th pass or even graduates are too allowed.. CPT exam conducts twice a year..in the month of 1st JUNE 1st OCTOBER and notification come before 2 months ..(There are rarely chances of change in dates.) Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry Stage test for Chartered Accountancy Course. Examination in paper pencil mode will be conducted on :19th June, 2011 but this only for those one who already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India on or before 1st April, 2011... But still you can apply for next exam.. Exam Qualifying Creteria -

marks required for clear of cpt exams are more then 100 also individually you will have to secure more then 30% in each section of papers.
as you know that paper have total marks 200-dividing like- Accounts - 60 marks Mercantile law - 40 marks Economics - 50 marks Maths - 50 marks so total is 200 if you get 100 then you are selected. |
