I'm from Computer Engineering department and belongs to Schedule Caste category. Want to know the minimum marks required in GATE 2018 to get admission in NIT not just for my category, but for all the categories including general? Can you please let me know the minimum criteria which are followed? Thank you!

The full form of GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

1. You must have done bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university.

2. GATE examination is of 100 questions

For admission in Master of Technology, you need to solve at least 50 correct questions. Then you will be eligible for admission in NIT.

Every year cut off marks required for admission in NITs in M.Tech through GATE examination changes.

But a safe score for candidate of any category is to score 60% marks in this exam. Although it will be around 50% marks for SC candidates. You should aim to secure minimum of 60% marks in it.

GATE (Gratitude Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an entrance exam conducted every year for giving admissions into post graduation education in different universities.

Every year the cut off range varies based on few conditions like based on the candidates appeared for the exam, seats availablity and difficulty level of the exam.

For Computer science course in NIT the cut off for reservation candidates, the range varies from 350 - 480. Based on the institution location also the cut off varies. For more detailed cut off information is given below.

We cannot expect the same cut-off this year as previous year because the cut off will depend on the question paper and also on the number of applicant's.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The cut off marks of NITs changes every year. So, you have to secure 60% marks aggregate in GATE 2018 to get admission in NITs in M.Tech course. Try your best in the exam , so you can expect to get admission in NITs.
