Re: Minimum marks required to qualify NDA exam?
The minimum marks required to qualify the Written test of National Defense academy entrance varies every year, to be very frank it is not same for every year.
Depending upon number of vacancies and no of candidates, commission sets a cut off marks for both mathematics and general ability test and candidates who score the marks above the cut off are selected for the Service Selection board. I am giving you analysis of previous years from which you can get idea how to score for qualifying written test and for final selection. For 2014: ~~360 marks out of 900 for written test. ~~722 out of 1800 for final selection. For more previous years cut off marks for NDA exams, click here . |

Re: Minimum marks required to qualify NDA exam?
# NDA Examination is held twice in a year by UPSC.
# Every year lacs of candidate apply for NDA Examination but finally only handful candidates able to join NDA. # Written test of NDA Examination is of grand total of 900 marks includes: * General Ability Test (GAT): 600 marks * Mathematics: 300 marks # It is better for the candidate not only try to obtained as high score as possible out of total 900 marks but also try to qualify both sections separately & simultaneously. # Advisable minimum score which every candidate should try to fetch is mentioned below: * 400-450 marks in General Ability Test (GAT) * 170-200 marks in Mathematics # The above mentioned (advisable minimum score) marks are just indicative and expected but not guaranteed of success in the examination. # In order to ensure your success in the examination, candidate should focus on getting as above marks as possible. |

Re: Minimum marks required to qualify NDA exam?
NDA is the National Defense Academy. The entrance exam for this academy is conducted by UPSC and has following stages:
1 Written Test. This test contains questions from Mathematics of 300 marks and second paper is general ability test of 600 marks, it contains question from General science, English and General Awareness and Knowledge. Both the papers are conducted on same day. There is no such minimum marks set as every year the cut off marks for the written test changes depending upon number of candidates UPSC has to short list for the Service Selection Board. However the cut off marks for NDA written test for previous some years is as below: >>The minimum qualifying marks in written test for 2014 was 322 out of 900 with at least 35% marks in each subjects. >>In 2013, it was 333 marks out of 900 with at least 30 % marks in each subjects. >>In 2012, the minimum qualifying marks was 335 out of 900 marks with 30% marks in each subject. Hence you should aim to score around 350 out of 900, you probability of getting selected in written test will be more. |

Re: Minimum marks required to qualify NDA exam?
The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year . The examination is taken in :-
Written . SSB . There is no fixed cut off marks for the written examination as the cut off changes every year and in every examination . The written paper is of 900 marks and it is generally believe that the candidates who have secured marks 33%- 40% marks will qualify . But first the candidates have to qualify in the mathematics paper then only the paper of general ability which is of 600 marks are taken in consideration . Some of the recent years cut off are :- 2014 - 322 marks out of 900 . 2013 - 333 marks out of 900 . 2012 - 335 marks out of 900 . So take your aim to solve at least 40% questions to have a secure seat for the SSB without giving wrong answers . |

Re: Minimum marks required to qualify NDA exam?
NDA stands for National Defence Academy and the examination is conducted in two parts :-
Written . SSB . The written examination is of 900 marks .There are two papers in these marks . Paper I - It is of Mathematics . Paper II - It is of General Ability and is of 600 marks . There is variation in every NDA examination in the cut off marks . The average cut off score is around 325-350 marks out of 900 marks . So if you are the aspirants for it . Try to score at least 55-65 questions from each of the paper or more . |
