Eligibility Criteria for PCS Exam 2011

Educational Qualification required for PCS Exam 2011:
The applicant should have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

The student should have taken Punjabi as one of compulsory or elective subjects in his/her Matriculation examination.


Physical Standards Required for Punjab Police Service

For Punjab Police Service, the applicant have to undergo physical test and have to be fit according to the rules and regulations. They have to fulfill the necessary physical standards as below.

Minimum height of Men: 5'.7"
Minimum height of Women: 5'.3"
Chest Measurement for Men (Unexpanded): 33"
Chest Measurement for Men (Expanded): 341/2"

Dear friend,
PCS(Provincial Civil Service) exam is conducted by State Public Service Commission for various important posts for State Such as SDM,DSP, etc.
The minimum eligibility is
1.Minimum 21 years of age
2.Graduation in any stream or subjects
The maximum age is 35 years.
For preparation you have to prepare according to syllabus issued, basically it is graduation based exam, which require alot of hard work and updated for current affairs for this read regularly newspapers and magazines and enhance general studies,

Dear,
The minimum educational eligibility creteria is just Graduation from University recognised by UGC(University Grant Commission) and minimum age creteria is 21 years, and there is no defined percentage in graduation, so just Graduation with minimum 21 years of age is minimum eligibility creteria for PCS(Provincial Civil Service).

PCS(Provincial Civil Service) is a service exam conducted by State Public Service Commission.
For PCS there are wide variety of subjects for which you have to make a choice for any two subjects among list by Public Service Commission, but the popular subjects are History, Geography, Public Administration, Political Science etc. But general knowlege or General Sudies are compulsory for all, so work on GS and Currend affairs. Yes, Graduation final year student can appear for PCS but on a provisional basis, the provision is that a final year candidate can apply for PCS Prelims but if he clears the prelims he has to compulsorily produce the marksheet or degree of graduation at the time of Mains of PCS, so if a candidate is that he will produce all documents before mains, than he can appear for PCS during last year of graduation.
