IIT JEE 2012 IIT-JEE is one of the toughest exam which a candidate could possibly face. For this exam you could go in for classes and train yourself, for any exams you could only study by referring the books. => The books for IIT-JEE are mentioned in a file attached. Please have a Look.. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How To Prepare For IIT-JEE For the preparation of IIT-JEE, you have to clear & enhance your CONCEPTS. All you have to go through more and more CONCEPTS.. Whenever for IIT-JEE, just always be with Three Things: => First is: BUILDING THE CONCEPTS, => Second is: PROPER APPLICATIONS OF CONCEPTS => Third is: PRACTICE. Ultimately for preparation of any exam, remember some points: 1) Always start from BASICS because "without base, there will be no altitude" and "journey of a thousand miles begin with single step". 2) Always Build Up Right & Appropriate Basics because "once the track of train is being changed, it will go on only that track". So always select the right track. 3) Never prefer solutions of questions before doing SELF-ATTEMPT at least five times till you get the right answer because "without fall you can not stand at once". 4) Never leave the question in between. And I saw a lot of students practicing this question without attempting it whole, and it's a very big fault for students and even it becomes their negative point sometimes. So please ignore this thing. Because "many of life's failure are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up" 5) Your study schedule should be such that you will even easily get the time for a little enjoyment daily. 6) Whenever you complete any chapter or particular topic, first of all, go through that topic from NCERT. (It's very important). 7) Always study anything with Great intrest otherwise it will be of No Use. Thank You! Quote:

Re: Necessary books that should be referred for IIT JEE entrance preparation?
i concern about these with iit roorke topper he is my friend.
Books For IIT-JEE I suggest following books for IIT JEE preparation: Physics • MECHANICS o Physics by H.C. Verma o Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov o Resnick and Halliday • ELECRICITY AND MAGNETISM o Resnick and Halliday Circuits devices and systems by R.J. Smith o Problems in physics by I.E. Irodov • OPTICS o Physics by H.C. Verma • MODERN PHYSICS o Physics by H.C. Verma o Problems in Physics by I.E. Irodov • HEAT AND WAVES o Physics by H.C. Verma o Resnick and Halliday Chemistry • ORGANIC CHEMISTRY o Morrison & Boyd o Solutions to Morrison Boyd o Reaction mechanism in Organic Chemistry by Parmar ∓ Chawla • INORGANIC CHEMIISTRY o NCERT Inorganic Chemistry o Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J.D. Lee o IIT Chemistry by O.P. Aggarwal • GENERAL CHEMISTRY o J.D. Lee o O.P. Aggarwal o R.C.Mukerjee Maths • ALGEBRA o High school mathematics by Hall and Knight o IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna • CALCULUS amp; ANALYTIC GEOMETRY o G.N.Berman o Calculus and analytic geometry by Thomas and Finney o Coordinate geometry by Loney o IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna o I.A.Maron • VECTORS o IIT Maths by M.L. Khanna Some important points to keep in mind during the examination General Instructions • Synchronize your wristwatch with the center clock. • Open your permission letter and keep it on your table. • Do not use a red pen. Points regarding presentation • Start attempting the question paper only after reading the instructions given on it very carefully. • While attempting questions, go on segregating them by the A, B, C method A :These questions are from topics that you have prepared well, and you can clearly comprehend the meaning of these questions. You have done questions containing similar concept earlier and you are confident that you will be able to solve these. B :You know you can solve these questions but they are time-consuming, nevertheless you are confident you will be able to crack them when you come back to them. These questions should be attempted in the second round of question attempting, i.e. when you have solved all questions marked with a B. C: You don't know head or tail of these questions and you should not waste time attempting them. • Attempting to solve all questions in haste increases the chances of error. It is better to solve slightly fewer questions faultlessly. • Never attempt two questions at the same time. Concentrate on one question at a time. • Carry out all rough work only in the space given in the paper. • If you need a diagram to understand questions in say physics or coordinate geometry etc., do make one. • Use the value of constants given in the paper in solving a numerical. If the value is not mentioned, use the one you remember. • Give all three subjects equal time. While attempting the answers, do not shade the answer key immediately. Instead, tick your response with a pencil 4 on the answer key. • Keep marking questions with A, B, C in the first round of solving the paper. All questions should be segregated into one of these three categories. This saves valuable time later. • Fill out the answer key 30 minutes before final time. Fill out the responses to questions attempted after this directly in the answer key. Last edited by reetikavarshney; 30th November 2011 at 11:39 PM. Reason: edit helful booksp |
