i have been selected by the omega meritime management after the written, pi and medical. they are asking Rs2.6 lakhs for the traing of 4+9 month (4 month off sea and 9 month on ship). i am in my final year of B.Tech.

Is this company fake or not?

is there ane one who have join the merchant navy through this company after B.tech?

is there any other way to join the shipping company directally?

or i need to do this 4+9 month training before joining the ship?

i dont know about this institute, so sorry, i will not help you. but i dnt think so the management is fake.

i think you should get wrong information, the management is not fake yaar, but i did not have knowledge about this institute. sorry for that.

look dear manoj ,, it is not a matter of a day or two that you can judge that weather a institute/company is fake or not but you will always come to know it later on when you fall prey to it.. it was just a genral explanation, dont get frightend by this ,,.
well i have heard of omega company which is tying up with many Btech colleges and offering ther students a good carer opportunity as the fees seems to be high just because of the on ship training programme for a few months less than 1 year. i think it is good you can join there ..
as far as personal openion is concerned i have one of my friends elder brother doing the training course with omega and he never seems complaining so .. i think there wont be any problem for you too. bbye take care and good luck...

please investigate properly before blaming,because it may also be any propaganda which will leads you in problem so please avoid this type of statements before investigating.

firstly you have to investigate just visit that university and consults with acadamics administrator. i dont think this university is fake, you have listen wrong information.

You should contact with the students of this institute and the pass out student also.....

i was also selected in this company in final yr and they demanded a sum of 3.7 lakhs which is much much more.

dis institute dont desreve so much and if u want to spend money there are much better institutes my friend.

this omega is fake i have heard be careful and check properly also they are asking too much money more than many other shipping companies

this in a fake institute because this is not give you a resisted certificate of all that courses so you dont waste your money

hi friends..this company is not fake at all...n the price they r askin for it is bcoz of the security for the traing period whr many students sit idol after completion of 1 year course coz they dont get any ship for traing...!! if in case uv cleared the IMU paper..opt for course under IMU... thru omega only.. not under GES...coz in IMU ul get Indian COC which is of more value than t other country COC wich ul get under GES.. i hope this information helps u guys to decide wats ryt..

you should search on net about there details whatever they have told you if it is same as on net then it will not fake otherwise be alert \ok good luck

Hi Recently I have been selected by this institute and first paid Rs. 30000/- for four months training. I am studying in 7th semester in IT
but after reading above mentioned quotes, I'm afraid and confused wht to do?
Till now I have not been asked for money like 2.7 lacs or 3.10 lacs. It's big amount for me.

hello frndzz.......i was selected for thizz cmpny after giving the written test , interview , medical test . Thiz company izz takin almost 4.65 lakhs for G.E.S Scheme wherein vl have to undergo 6 months ( pre-sea ) training and then 18 mnthzz on - board training . But most imp of all.......thiz cmpny OMEGA does not give any assurity of u being placed into any of the shipping industries. I've decided not to join . Plz think twice before joining thizz because thr izz a lot of money involved in thiz......
