Civil Services examination are held by UPSC once every year for recruitment of administrative officer.

* The basic qualifications required for appearing in Civil Services examination are as here under :-

i) You must be an Indian citizen.

ii) Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

iii) You must have completed your bachelor degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.

Now as far as you are concerned about your eligibility for appearing in Civil Services examination having completed your bachelor degree course six years ago then I would like to let you know that you are eligible for appearing in Civil Services examination if you satisfy its eligibility criteria as the gap within the academics does not matters for the eligibility of same examination.

Civil Services examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

The eligibility criteria for Civil Services examination:

1. You must have done bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year graduation candidates can also apply.

2. Age limit is 21-32 years. Three years upper age relaxation for OBC and five years for SC/ST candidates.

If you are within upper age limit then gap after bachelor's degree does not matter. You can apply for 2018 exam.

Let me tell you that you are eligible to appear in Civil Services examination only under limited age.
Age criteria should be 21 years to 30 years for general. For OBC 33 years and SC/ST it is 35 years.
You have not mentioned your age but it seems that you are eligible to apply for Civil Services examination if general. But if OBC/ST/SC then you have sufficient time.

Even if there is a gap of 6 years after your graduation also you can appear for the civil services but you need to make sure that you meet the age requirements.I think you might have 26 or 27 years at the most if you have done your education with out any pauses. So, you are eligible for the civil services exam.
But recheck your self and if you are with in age as mentioned in the notification (according your reservation) you will be eligible for writing the civil services examination.e

Yes, you can appear in the civil service exam. The age limit of attending UPSC exam is between 21 to 32 years. A person can attempt maximum 4 times ( for general students). So, if you satisfy the two previous mentioned eligibility criteria, you are eligible to appear in civil service exam.
