ya of course you can apply to get into the Indian Air Force after the commerce stream
you just have to give the entrance exam like that of the NDA,CDS,UES to get in to the INDIAN AIR FORCE ......

joining Indian Air Force,There are Two Entries For you One after 12 and Another will be after graduation/Degree.

Through NDA after 12 and CDSE after your degree/Graduation.

As it says if you have Mathematics and science at 10+2 level, then only your Education qualification will be valid.

But i think commerce stream doesn't have physics at 10+2 level.

you should know about indian airforce job, it is an exellent job in defance, and there is also good opportunity in indian airforce for commerce student and all student, you can study within job also. so there is good scope in airforce.
only science student can fill tech form,so this is a bad news for you dear,

The three branches of the Air force are

• Flying,
• Ground duty
• and Technical branch.

The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch),graduates (all three branches), engineers (all three branches) and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch) in the various positions. Women with graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch) have openings as an Officer in the Air force.

there are many way to enter air-force one of them is cds and other is SSC ..

Apply ssc technical entry
their will be direct interview of 7 days of physical and personnel interview.
once you clear it you will be directly enter into indian navy after medical exam..

CRITERIA FOR AIR FORCE
To join the Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) stream you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria: Age-18 to 28 years
Marital Status -Single
Nationality-Indian
Gender-This is applicable to both men and women.
Educational Qualification (Aeronautical Engineer – Electonics)-First division (60% & above) in BE / B.Tech in Electronics / Telecommunication / Electrical / Electrical Communication / Electronics & Communication / Instrumentation / Computer Science & Engineering or a combination of these subject

which happens twice in a year.CDS I forms are out you can fill the form at
www.upsc.in.please check eligibility criteria before filling the form

the Air Force, but you’ll not be inside a supersonic jet, going at an incredible

speed while doing that.

The Basic Process

Candidates, short-listed for Air Force after the initial selection procedure(a

written exam by NDA, go through a rigorous three-year training regimen at

the National Defence Academy, followed by specialised training at the Air

Force Academy.

Thereafter, they are commissioned as officers and posted as pilots at any of

the Air Force Stations.

To be in the National Defence Academy:

You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service

Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities

throughout India.

Eligibility Criteria:

To join the NDA you need to fulfil the following requirements:

Age : 16 ½ to 19 years*

Nationality: Indian

Gender: This is applicable only to men.

Educational Qualifications:

You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics. You

can, however send your application during your 10+2; provided you meet the

eligibility criteria at the time of joining the Academy.

there are good opportunity in Air force after studying in Commerce field. there are various post for commerce pass candidate in Indian army. you may join in front end soldier post. you will be eligible for clerical post and other so many post.

after graduation,in B.COM also..you can join IAF as Ground Duty Officer...50% aggregate marks are required in graduation...eVEN YOU HAVE TO SEE THE AGE CRITERIA ALSO.two times in a year GDO forms are out.even,I am from Arts stream,and applied for gdo IN FEB,2011.Even my written is cleared

Air Force also have opportunities for Commerce students.
IF you want to join Air Force then you can join it by two ways-
1. SSC interviews
2. CDS exam
CDS exam is held by UPSC every year and a graduate person are eligible for appearing in this exam.

sorry as you told you are a commerce student so you can not apply for air force . because for applying air force you should be science student. but no need to worry you can apply for army. after completion of your graduation you can apply for CDS. and after clearing written exam and SSB you can join indian army

In case of joining Indian Air Force and Indian Navy as Officers, there is no provision available for Commerce students right after 12th. ... So, after completing graduation course (3 or 4 years long), Commerce stream students may appear for AFCAT entrance examination and join IAF's Ground Duty Branches.

Sir I had done 10th with 63% mark in central govt school,and 2 with stream commerce in state govt college, now I am doing diploma in mechanical engineer...can I apply or join in IAF???
