In the UPSC Civil Services Exams there are three stages:
>> In the Prelims you do not have to choose any optional paper >> In the Mains exams you have to choose just one optional subject and this subject will have two papers List of optional subjects for Main Examination Agriculture Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science and International So, you can choose any one subject from above list in which you have good knowledge |

You can select any of the interested optional subjects for mains exam. Selection should be made from the list of subjects given in UPSC portal. The subject of Medical Science will be suitable for you. Selection of subject can be done according to the easy availability of study materials. Further details can be collected from UPSC web portal.

You can choose any subjects from the list of optional subjects;- UPSC Main Examination Optional Subjects : Agriculture Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology Indian History Law Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science Psychology Public Administrative Sociology Statistics Zoology Anthropology Arabic Assamese Bengali Chinese English French German Gujarat Hindi Kannada Kashmiri Konkani Malayalam Manipuri Matathi Nepali Oriya Pali Persian Punjabi Russian Sanskrit Sindhi Tamil Telugu Urdu Management All the best............................ |

Hello
There are 2 papers to write in IAS exam 1. Preliminary exam 2. Mains exam The exam is conducted one after the other on the particular dates of the exam In the preliminary exam, all the questions are based on the general knowledge, Indian history, Indian Geography etc These questions are asked basically in the objective type. After passing the preliminary exam, you are eligible for Mains exam In the mains exam you must choose the subject which you'd learnt in degree. Even you can choose another subjects also but your degree subjects will help more in understanding and answering well in the exam The subjects you must choose are from Mathematics Agriculture Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology Indian History Law Management Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science Psychology Public Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology Anthropology Arabic Assamese Bengali Bodo Chinese Dogri English French German Gujarati Hindi Kannada Kashmiri Konkani Maithili Malayalam Manipuri Marathi Nepali Oriya Pali Persian Punjabi Russian Sanskrit Santali Sindhi Tamil Telugu Urdu all the best |

IAS Exam deatials :
This exam conducted by UPSC Service, 3 stages on this exam. @ Preliminary @ Main Exam @ Interview preliminary conduct 2 papers, each on 200 marks. two papers are complesory papers its not require on optional paper. Main exam are available in optional paper. 25 optional papers are available in Main exam. |
