UPSC Civil Service exam :
this is the common entrance exam conducted for various all India Civil Services like IAS/IPS/IFS etc.,

as you know that you are eligible for this examination as a degree holder.
Now the thing is you have to enroll for examination and appear for the three level examination.

The three levels of UPSC are
->Civil Service Aptitude test
->Mains exam
->Personal Interview.

CSAT doesn't have any unique syllabus as it has common syllabus for all the applicants after clearing this small hurdle you will be called for Mains examination.

For mains you need to select two optional subjects along with General studies. as yours is medical background you can select the optional's like Medical sciences and psychology.

But there will be no direct related subjects to your Dental science background. you have to compromise with the available subjects.

for the official information you can visit to the official web link here

After this vigorous three stage pattern you will be selected.
As the notification for next exam is not yet out. you have to wait for the important dates of the exam.

paper format

For CSAT Level the paper format is Multiple choice questions.
for mains exam the paper format is Essay question answers type.
for personal interview you will be questioned orally.

Hope you got an Idea about the Civil service exam.

all the best friend
