As per new age criteria for NDA exam, you are eligible for NDA 2015 exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Only the Unmarried Male Candidates born not earlier than 2nd January,1996 and not later than 1st January ,1999 are eligible.
So you are eligible.

Yeah as per your DOB 08091996 you are 17 years 7 months old.
So that you are eligible for NDA 2015.

Details About NDA 2015:

NDA (National Defence Academy) and this exam is known as one of the defence service exam and is held every year twice as NDA I and NDA II by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The exam is conducted for candidates to join in:

• Indian Army
• Indian Navy
• Indian Air Force

To apply for the NDA exam, there are certain eligibility standards which are needed to be satisfied and they are:

# Candidate should have a citizenship in India

# Martial status needed is candidate should be a unmarried male candidate

# Age limit needed is 16 1/2 - 19 1/2 years ( born not earlier than 02nd July 1996 and not later than 01st July 1999)

# Educational qualification needed is candidate should have completed +2 from a recognized school board of education for joining in Indian Army.
