I born on 28.06.93 i can apply for nda 2012
i am in confusion regarding this.

Yes. You are eligible to apply for NDA Exam. Every year NDA Exam is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year.

This Exam is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in various defence services like
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing

The selection procedure to be placed in above defence services is by
-Written Test
-Interivew.

In addition, a medical test will also be conducted to the candidates as a part of selection procedure.

You are eligible to appear for NDA I Exam of this year and you are not eligible for NDA II Exam as per your date of birth.

So, this is your last chance. After completion of NDA I Exam, you are no more eligible for NDA Exams. So, have good preparation to this Exam and crack the Exam well.

Here are the important dates regarding NDA I Exam of this year.

-Date of commencement of notification : 31-12-2011
-Last date for the receipt of completed application forms : 30-01-2012
-Date of NDA I Exam : 15-04-2012.

You did not mention the particulare wing of defence that you are interested to join. If you want to join Navy or Air Force wings, it is must that you should have gone through Physics and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects in your 10+2.

Age: 16.5 to 19
Mariatl Status: Single.
Sex: Male.
Nationality: Indian.

The date of the exam is 15/04/2012. Form is available from 31/12/2011 to 30/01/2012.
Your date of birth is 28/06/93. It means you are younger than 19 years on 15/04/2012. Hence you are definitely eligible to sit for the exam. Collect the form.

INFORMATION ABOUT NDA - National Defense Academy

NDA is the all India entrance examination which is organized and conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission ) every year to select candidates for the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force.

Its an undergraduate exam and so a lot of NDA aspirants take part in it.


Now the Basic Eligibility Criteria to apply for the NDA exam are :



1. You should be an Unmarried Male Indian National.

2. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board. No fixed percentage is specified in the notification.

3. Your age should be within 16.5 to 19 years. No relaxations are provided for these.

4. You must have studied Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects if you wish to apply for the Indian Air Force and Navy.

5. You should be physically fir.


Now as you ask, if being a 93 born you are eligible or not, I would say YES ! surely you are eligible to apply for the NDA as you are not more than 19 years yet !!!

• Now the notification for the NDA exam has been released very recently on 31st December 2011.

• The last date to apply for the NDA (1) is 30th January 2012. Please do the needful within this date.

• The date of the exam is : 15th April 2012 (Sunday).
