Diploma or 12th pass outs can apply for clerical posts in banks. 50% marks is needed to apply for the same. Relaxation in marks is given for reserved categories. SC/ST candidates need to get 55% marks in this level. Higher age limit for the same is 28 years. To get selected for this post, it is essential to clear bank recruitment tests followed by a personal interview.

Bank Clerk examination need not any percentage criteria in graduation. The eligibility criteria for bank Clerk examinations are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognised college or university. * Percentage criteria is not required. * Final year contenders are not eligible. * Age limit:- 18-28 yrs. * Nationality:- Indian. The selection procedure for the bank Clerk examination is mentioned as below:- * Written examination. * Personnel interview. * Medical examination. Institute of Banking Personnel Services conducts the Bank Clerk exam on the behalf of 19 Public Sector Banks. There have been recently some changes in the qualification criteria for this exam.
Earlier candidates who had completed 12th and even 10th were eligible to appear for the IBPS Bank Clerk. However the participating banks requested the Institute of Banking Personnel Services to change the criteria. Therefore on the request of Public Sector Banks, now a candidate to apply for IBPS Bank Clerk exam need at least a graduation degree. Unless you have graduation degree you can not appear for the Bank Clerk. If you have completed graduation then apply for Bank Clerk without any hesitation. There is no percentage criteria for this exam. IBPS Clerk is conducted twice in a year. IBPS Clerk Eligibility 1. You must have graduated from college. 2. No minimum percentage in the graduation course is required. 3. Diploma or degree in computers is required. 4. Else you should have studied Computers as a subject in college or high school. 5. Must be fluent in the official language of the state where you want job. 6. Minimum age is 20 years to apply for this exam. 7. Upper age is 28 years to apply. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit OBC - 3 years. SC/ST - 5 years. PWD - 10 years. The Minimum Percentage Criteria has been removed from the banking exams. The Two Organizations which generally conduct the Banking Examinations are : 1) State Bank Of India 2) Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection These two organizations conduct the Banking Examinations for the following posts : * Bank Clerks * Bank POs The Qualifications That you need to fulfill for the Banking Exams are : * You must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. * Candidates in final year of graduation are no longer eligible to apply for the Banking exams. * The Age Limit for the Bank clerical Exams : a) For General candidates : 18-28 years b) For OBC Candidates : 18-31 years c) For SC/ST Candidates : 18-33 years * The Age Limit for Bank PO Exams : a) For General candidates : 21-30 years b) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 years c) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 years * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen The Banking Exams are conducted in two steps : 1) Written Examination 2) Interview Test Note : You Have to pass all the two steps mentioned above to pass the Banking Exams. Bank Clerical Exam conducted by UPSC every year generally by SBI and IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) for 19 Public Sector Banks.
Eligibility for SBI/IBPS Clerical Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. -Should have either completed 12th with 50% marks in any stream from a recognised Board or have completed Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age o 18 to 28 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should be a computer literate one. IBPS conducts the Clerks exams on 20 Nationalsed banks. IBPS stand for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection organization.
