Re: Minimum percentage required in Graduation to appear for Bank Exams?
Different banks put different percentage criteria in graduation for the PO exam.
Normally it is 55% or 60% (again depending upon banks). But there is a 5% mark relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates. Some other eligibility criteria for bank PO exam are: *Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years. *You should have a degree in computer from NIT's or other institutes. Final year students in graduation can also apply for the exam if they can show their passing certificate at the time of interview....... Thanks..... |

Thank you for posting. If you still have problems discuss in the forum with more details. Best of luck. Regards. |

Re: Minimum percentage required in Graduation to appear for Bank Exams?
Dear Friend ,
In order to appear in Bank exams , you have to specify whether you want to apply for clerical post or PO post as the eligibility criteria differ for the two. Eligibility Criteria For Bank Clerical Posts : * You must have passed 12th with a minimum of 60% marks if you lie in general category . There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC candidates if you are applying for SBI clerical exam. * For IBPS clerical Exam , the minimum qualification you need is 12th pass with 55% marks. * Your age should lie in between 18-24 years. Eligibility Criteria For Bank Clerical Posts : * You must have completed your graduation with a minimum of 60% marks (if SBI) from any recognized college / university. * Your age should lie in between 21-30 years. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Minimum percentage required in Graduation to appear for Bank Exams?
It depends on which banking exam you are applying for. I will recommend you to appear for the banking exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS).
This institute is more than 40 years old and conduct Bank Clerk and Bank PO entrance exam on the behalf of 19 banks. All these banks are public sector banks which means government job. The clerk exam is conducted twice a year while Bank PO is conducted once a year. If you are eligible for both the exams, I will recommend appearing for the IBPS Bank PO entrance exam. Please check the criteria below to see whether you are eligible or not. There is basically no difference in the criteria of both the exams accept for the percentage requirement in graduation. Rest of the criteria is same. IBPS Bank Clerk and PO Criteria 1. You can only appear if have Indian citizenship. 2. Any bachelor's degree will be accepted. 3. You need 60 percent marks in graduation to appear for Bank PO. 4. There is no percentage criteria for Clerk exam. 5. Diploma or degree in Computers is required for both exams. 6. Re: Minimum percentage required in Graduation to appear for Bank Exams?
Banking sector is a highly competitive sector now a days. The competition has also increased and if you are really talented then they are ready to hire you. The eligibility details of the public as well as private sector banks are almost same.Basically there are two types of posts in banks they are: clerical and officer posts. With the revised rules now graduation is must for both the posts. But there is no percentage criteria but it is good to have more than 60‰ because it will help you during interviews. The eligibility details are mentioned below:
So percentage criteria is not mentioned anywhere in the notifications and you will be eligible for the exams if you have completed graduation from a recognized university. All the best. |
