Re: PHD topics in finance management or banking and insurance management
PhD Topics in Management, Finance, Marketing, Applied Economics, etc.
Hi! I am Unregistered and I am applyiing to an Undisclosed PhD. Please tell me what is a PhD topic and give me topics ideas. ,-) Message to "Unregistereds": please provide at least an email or log in if you want someone to advise you directly. General remarks: - To apply to a PhD you either need a research proposal (PhD topic) or not, depending on the program you apply for. - Working toward a PhD is costly (at least in time and postponed income) and frustrating, you'd be better working on something you are really interested in. If you do not know yet which topics you want to work on for the next 3 to 6 years, in my opinion, you should look for a program that recruit without a research proposal (e.g. in the US or France if you apply for a master-research) - Should the research topic(s) be marketable? A marketable dissertation/thesis is typically relevant if you are working toward an "applied" matter: most engineering-related topics are applied research and therefore are directly marketable. To work in higher education, typically the most important is not the topic per se that matters but the quality of your approach (that should be modern, whatever the meaning you put of "modern") and how your research work advances the theory or understanding of the topics under review. No University or Business School recruits based a PhD based solely on the title of the dissertation. - It follows that, in addition to you topic, you should set your research approch (aka research strategy/methodologies) - You research topic(s) should relate to the research interests of your futur PhD adviser(s): A great topic (that which is current such as "risk governance within Indian Financial Institutions. a cross-sectional review") will put you nowhere if no-one wants to supervise you in the institution you apply for. So you should choose you PhD "school" only after having an idea of your research interest and the where are the best resources available for you. - The worst scenario would be to be accepted in PhD program with your superb, timely and relevant topic in a institution where you will receive absolutely no assistance and where you will have to share your dissertation with your supervisor (who did not help). It is a form of plagiarism very current worldwide. I hope it heps. I am Unregisted and my email is Undisclosed. |

Re: PHD topics in finance management or banking and insurance management
For doing Phd, one have to make lot of literature review and also have to relate with industry and check whether the industry is facing any problem related to what you have read. So, to derive at a PhD Topic takes 5- 6 months.
