Possibility of promotion in 10th standard for a National level sports champion who failed in 3 subjects of 9th SA-I & SA-II?


Hello,
My son is failed in 3 subjects in SA-I in 9th standard and for SA-II too. I have no hope but he got championship for sports. Will he promoted to 10th standard? He has participated in National level sports too. Please give me the accurate answer.
