Re: Is it possible for me to do MCA after taking BCA?
Hi
MCA stands for the Masters in Computer Applications. So its basically the following course of the BCA which is Bachelors in Computer Applications. Its true that if anybody wants to pursue MCA, then Mathematics in HS is a compulsory subject, but the criteria also says that a BCA graduate can always take up MCA. As BCA has discreet mathematics in its course and so in a way, you have studied the maths required for the Computer Applications. So Surely you can apply for the MCA course. If you are not interested in the management and similar stuffs, you do your MCA and then you can become a professor. You may also go in for your research work PH.D Computer Applications and then get well placed in some IT or Computer Software Company. Hope this helps All the best |

Re: Is it possible for me to do MCA after taking BCA?
Hi, Any graduate who has passed or appearing for the final year degree examination in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering or any approved University) is eligible to apply.
But candidates must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 course or any one year of graduation. Though you did not have maths in 10+2 but you had maths in your graduation. So you are definitely eligible for MCA. MCA is a 3 years post graduation course. MCA are for those who are interested in Software industry and programming. After completing MCA, you will get jobs in areas like Computers and Related Electronic Equipment Manufacturers, Database Management, E-Commerce, Networking, Embedded Technologies, Design Support And Data Communications, System Maintenance, Security and Surveillance Companies, Software Development Companies etc etc.... |

Re: Is it possible for me to do MCA after taking BCA?
Dear friend,
As you have not studied the Mathematics then there are some institutes where you will be not eligible because they have conditions that candidates must have studied mathematics either class 12th or garduation level. So, as we don't know either you studied the mathematics or not in the graduation level because different universities have different BCA syllabus. But if you have studied mathematics in any year under BCA then you are eligible for every university MCA admission. But if you have not studied maths then only in some institutes you are not eligible. But most of the institutes allowed the MCA admission to the BCA candidates. So, don't worry about it and prepare the exam. The following are the best MCA institutes and you are eligible in the following institutes: Hyderabad University AP-ICET (www.andhrauniversity.info) TANCET (Anna University, www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012) Pune University Delhi University BHU IP-CET IIT_JAM (Application closed for the Admission 2012, www.iitjam.in) Goa University (prefer CDAC CST test) Cochin University (www.cusat.nic.in) Pondicherry University PEC Pondicherry Chandigarh University All the above are the top tests for the MCA. In which TANCET admission is open: Start date of Registration: 01.02.2012 Last date : 23.02.2012 Pune University admission open: Start date for online: Online starts Last date: 06.02.2012 IIT-JAM - Application closed Till now these three tests are open. Further tests application form yet not issued. best of luck |

Re: Is it possible for me to do MCA after taking BCA?
dear friend,
No, my friend you can't apply for MCA course after completion of BCA course.. For that you have to appear in MCA entrance exams like- 1.NIMCET 2.JECA These are the entrance exams for MCA course. After qualifying in any of these entrance exam you can apply for MCA course.. Eligibility for these entrance exams:- 1. Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade, but must have maths or stats in 12th.. As you don't have maths in 12th then you can't apply for it.. All the best.. |
