How to start preparation for GATE exam?

it is not possible to be prepared for GATE in one month. but just you can only try to do best in the examination.


try to review all the subject of your graduation which are included into GATE syllabus. do not try to read something new. because it is very difficult to know something new now. just read whatever you have already completed.


give importance on the mathematics part and in the aptitude part. because if you can secure a good marks from mathematics and aptitude part then it will be very easy for you to qualify the cut off marks of GATE.

do some model question paper and suggestion paper. buy one good book and try to solve the multiple choice question from the book.

i think this are so many things. may be it is not possible to do everything in one month. but just try to do the maximum.

Its really a big task task or you may call it a impossible task to prepare before 1 month for GATE.

GATE is one of the toughest exams conducted in India,You have less time left in your hand so i suggest you to prefer your core subjects.
Example if you take your subject as Electrical then you have to prefer Electrical machines,EMF,network analysis,Power systems,Control systems.

Prefer books of standard authors like J.B Gupta,Boylestead,William Haith,B.l Thereja,N.C Jagan,R.k Bansal,Modi and Seth,Rajput,books of Pearson publications,Katson publications.

your determination with gate exam is really appreciable

but according to me it is not possible in just one month

if you're exceptionally well and intelligent in your subject then it may be possible

for this also you have to have the following features in you

great interest

great subject knowledge

good amount of concentration

good set of friends

it is very difficult to get fully prepared for the gate exam within one month.......
but then if u have a very good basic knowledge then u can prepare to some extent

I should not say its not possible to prepare in one month. But the preparation time is really less. So, what you should do is that, do selective study, check out the syllabus and prepare those areas where you are strong.

Hey is there any such criteria that b.e. students can only give 3 attempts to qualify for GATE? If they don't clear in 3 atempts, then they can't further apply?

anything is possible.be positive always.one can score gud rank in gate in one mnth preparation.

there is nothing impossible in this worlds.

if you have already knowledge or if you have study well in your semester then in one

month one can go for the quick review as well as in one month you can revise as well

as you can do some practice also.and best think is do not go for the study of the whole

syllabus just cover a part of the syllabus.and concentrate on that parts only,and in

exam solve only those question in which you have more confidence.and hope you will

get success.

I is highly impossible to get a good GATE rank by studying for just one month until and unless u have a good grip on your 4 year subjects. but by solving previous papers we can cover more subjects in this short span of time.

impossible iz nothing , only thing u need to have sincere desire, when u want success as badly as air then only u can get

i hv nearly 1 and 1/2 month left for gate examination...how can i prepare for the same in order to qualify it.

by peparing question banks is it enough to qualify for gate?

I think you should take more time so a good preparation can be done for GATE exam. Rest it depends person to person. How much one is skilled to learn things.

Hello !!

i dont think that one day preparation for GATE is allmost enough for you.
since,it is not an engineering syllabus which require one night study.
it is india's one of the most toughest exam.
so it will be better for you to start from today only or right from the day when you read this solution.
because tajmahal was not built in one day,ocean are not filled in one day like that only GATE will not be cracked in one day.
