Quote:
STEPS TO BECOME JUDGE First of all i want to clear you doubt which you have..... there is no way you can become a judge without being a lawyer because you have to have some good experience and good name as a lawyer then after some 3 years + experience you may become a judge if you are smart enough for tat.. FIVE STEPS TO BECOME A JUDGE : STEP 1 : You must have a bachelor's degree with field experience. You can take up BA LLB degree which is a 5 years integrated course... To join for BA LLB you have to write the CLAT ( Common Admission Law Test ) and get the seat in some of the good colleges.. I have attached the list of colleges where you can get seat after passing the CLAT exam in this post.. check it over... STEP 2 : You must clear the All India Bar Examination which test one's ability to be rated as the best advocate and a judge. STEP 3 : You have to select the court which you want to work and have some idea about the place and things to carry on their to gain good experience. STEP 4 : Gain political support if possible.. this will help in a lot of ways, because the position for judge is very competitive so you must be out of the box to show yourself.. STEP 5 : You must be good in some skills like analyzing, logical thinking, speaking and researching, skills which can be acquired through courses such as public speaking, government, English, philosophy, history to excel in your future.. -> For further informations about CLAT exam and law CLICK HERE!!! |

My dear friend,
There's no way to bacome a judge without getting your degree in Law. Moreover, there's a requirement of experience in any case if you want to become a judge. If you have already done your graduation, now you are eligible for L.L.B. course which will be of three years duration. The candidate without graduation is elgible for 5 years L.L.B. program. Top Colleges for L.L.B. are listed below: 1. NLSIU, Bangalore 2. Department of Laws, Punjab University, Chandigarh 3. Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies, Bangalore 4. School of Law, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad 5. NALSAR, Hyderabad 6. NLIU, Bhopal 7. Faculty of Law, BHU, Banaras 8. Symbiosis Law College, Pune 9. Indian Law Society Law College, Pune 10. Re: Procedure to become a judge without being a lawyer?
Sure you can.. And According to me this will be the best decision to prepare for CLAT with Science.
I find those people really stupid who prefer arts and CLAT. First and foremost CLAT is not at all related to any field! It just test your aptitude and ability to stand in the respective law schools. It doesn't ask for any pre-knowledge. It just merely test how well you can apply logic during pressure time as time is 120 minutes and you need to attempt 200 questions. But the merit of taking science beside is science of course improve your intelligence and thought process. Though the subjects of science and CLAT are not at all related but science actually provides what CLAT wants. # Hope This Helps. All The Best |

Re: Procedure to become a judge without being a lawyer?
There are six general steps you must follow to become a judge:
Step 1: Attend Undergraduate School. Aspiring judges can prepare for careers in law during undergraduate school. ... Step 2: Earn a Law Degree. ... Step 3: Pass a Bar Exam. ... Step 4: Work as an Attorney. ... Step 5: Obtain a Judgeship. ... Step 6: Complete Training. *To become a lawyer, one must complete a three-year Juris Doctor (JD) program after earning a bachelor's degree. ... Lawyers who want to become judges may be more likely to earn appointments or be elected to positions if their experience includes a large amount of time spent at trial. *The rules for becoming a judge in a federal court differ from the rules of becoming a judge in a state court; and the rules for becoming a judge in a state court vary by the state. As a general rule, federal judges are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate; they are appointed for life. *To become a High Court judge is also pretty difficult. Even good service judges may miss out on promotion to the High Court, as there are few appointments made every few years. ... Thus, it is quite difficult to become a judge. The higher the Court, the more difficult it becomes to get there as a judge. |

Re: Procedure to become a judge without being a lawyer?
Brazos County Texas allowed it's longest running judge in it's history to become a judge with only 3 years of basic law school and 1 year experience practicing law after graduation (of only 3 years of schooling in law) his decisions are however, based on personal discretions rather than actual law. In my humble opinion, anyway. (the last statement ONLY)
