Pattern is same.
syllybus is nothing but whole thing what u have study from
your scool life. otherwise lot of tnpsc books are available
in book shops. better get manorama tnpsc gr book.
syllbus contains GK ,elective subject qns.
you will get all the details from www.tnpsc.gov.in

see, tnpsc exam syllabus for engineer trainee syllabus is equivalent to gate syllabus.so it will be better to take gate syllabus as a tnpsc exam syllabus for engineer trainee.

you can get Gate syllabus in the given below sites
