I am studying Btech 1st year.
What are the reference books for gate exam?
So that i could start preparing from now....

You are in Ist year of B.Tech this time you to concentrate about your study.for you information you will be eligible for GATE exam in final year of graduation.

You have not mention you branch because books for all branches are different.for books you have to mention your branch.

For your information in GATE exam mostly question are asked from your B.Tech syllabus so you have to study your subject books deeply.this will be beneficial for you according to your graduation or GATE.

In your graduation you cover 90% GATE syllabus.so first you have to do preparation of your subjects.

As you have not mentioned your subject so its difficult to suggest anyone but you can go for the site as under & get the same of your subject-

Here your question is incomplete in the sense that you haven't mentioned your stream .Without complete information ,we can predict anything but still i am trying to provide you solve your query.Generally the book by " Made Easy Publication " is considered best for the preparation of GATE exam. Dear Friend,

At present you should concentrate in you studies of semester.

You are now in 1st semester and you will appear GATE in 8th semester. So there is a lot of time before that.

Foe preparing for GATE you just have to read conceptually now.

The subject which is in your present semester and also in GATE, read that subject carefully and conceptually.

Start preparing for GATE whole heartedly from 5th semester.
