Required Height to join in Indian Army?

For joining Indian Army ,you must have a height of Atleast 157 cm .All the other details are given below

If you want to join indian army ,then there is nothing better way than NDA .It is conducted by UPSC twice a year with name NDA-I and NDA-II. so take part in NDA exam and join the army. for latest news and updates about NDA, please visit the official website http://www.upsc.gov.in

Eligibility For NDA

In order to join the Indian Army..you can go for NDA (National Defence Academy) exam which is conducted twice every year in the months of April and August for which the notifications shall be released in the months of January and April,respectively..

You can avail the forms from your nearby post office or your nearest book depots..

In order to appear for the NDA exam..you need to fulfill the following conditions :-

1) You should be a 12th pass out (with Physics,Chemistry and Maths if you want to join Navy or Air Force)

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

The written exam shall test you on the following things :-

English
Basic Maths
General Knowledge

You need to first clear the written exam,then the interview and then the medical examination..

The height requirement for the Indian Army varies according to the weight of the candidate so i have attached the height and weight requirements along with this post..just go through them..

For different regions, the physical eligibility criteria is different.
The minimum height requirement for any region is:
female - 152 cm
male - 157.5 cm
The weight should be according to your height. E.g., if you're 175 cm tall, then your minimum weight should be 60 kg.

Friend,

You want to join the Indian MILITARY ACADEMY, for serving the nation, which is really appreciable.
. In order to join the Indian MILITARY, you must have to clear the NDA examination,. NDA stands for the NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY , which is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year.
UPSC stands for UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION .
The minimum educational requirement for appear in this examination is a 12th degree from a recognized board.
If some one want to apply for the INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF) & NA , THEN HE must have subjects PHYSICS & MATHEMATICS in 12th.
He must have atleast 60% in 12th.

Through this NDA examination, one can apply for the

INDIAN AIR FORCE (IAF),
NAVAL ACADEMY (NA)
& INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY (IMA).

Selection Procedure --

1. WRITTEN TEST
2. SSB
3. PHYSICAL TEST.

Exam pattern--



Educational requirements-

A candidate must have at least a 12th degree from a recognized board,.
If you are a IAF & NA aspirant, then you must have Physics & Maths in 12th with at least 60% (aggregate). Otherwise, you can apply for the IMA .

Age limit-

16.5-19 years, for all candidates..

You must have Indian nationality .

The minimum height to Become an Indian Army soldier is 152 cms. (without shoes). It also depends on the type of entry you are chosing for. For Eg: The height requirement for the TES(Technical entry scheme) was minimum 152 and the figure further increases according to your weight. Also, there is relaxation of 2.5 cm by the Medical board at the time of selection as the person will likely to grow during his training.

For this NDA exam only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. i.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.

NDA has three wings:

Indian Army
Indian Navy
Indian Air Force

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should be complete 12th standard from any recognized board or university.

Final year appearing students also eligible for this NDA exam.

candidate should be physically fit.

Candidates age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years. Important there is no upper age relaxation for this NDA exam.

Physical Requirements for NDA

Army wings :- Acceptable height is 157.5 cms .

Navy wings :- Acceptable height is 157 cms .

Air force :- Acceptable height is 162.5 cms .

Additional Requirements:

Pushups: Minimum 20 eacg Sit-ups

Chin ups: Minimum 08

Running : 2 to 4 Km in 15 minutes
Skipping

Rope climbing : 3 to 4 meters

Selection Process:
