what is the height and weight required to join Indian army?...pelase tell me

The "Combined Defence Services" Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy.

The Notification for the examination is usually released in the months of October and June, and the examinations are conducted in February and November respectively. Only unmarried graduates are eligible to sit for the exam.

Indian Military Academy 19-24 years
Air Force Academy 19-23 years
Naval Academy 19-22 years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 years (not before 2 June)

Physical Standards (Minimum):
Height :157.5cm
Chest :81cm ,fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cm

Final year candidates can also apply for the CDS exam. There is no restriction of percentage in graduation to apply for CDS exam.

You must be an Indian. You should be mentally and physically fit in all respect.

If you satisfy the above mentioned conditions you can apply for the CDS exam.

You have not mentioned your academic Qualification because through Academic Qualification you have permission to attend NDA and CDS Exam.

Both exam recruit the candidate for Indian Army Post .

If you have completed 12th standard then you are eligible for NDA Exam.

If you have graduation degree then you are eligible for CDS Exam.

First of all i would like to inform you that for Joining Indian Army you should be Fit in all respects i.e Height , Weight , Eye Standards etc.NO, you cannot join Indian Army with Height 150 Cms.Your Height should not be less than 157.5 cms for joining ARMY.With Height less than 157.5 Cms you cannot join any Defence Sector in between ARMY/NAVY/AIR FORCE.Height & Weight Standards

For Joining Indian Army a candidate have to apply for one of the following Exam 1). NDA OR 2). CDS......

>> For NDA a candidate must have completed their 12th science and age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.....

>> For CDS exam a candidate must have completed their Graduation Degree in any stream and age should be between 21 to 287 years.....

>> Relaxation is available for CDS for Reserved category but not for NDA Exam.....

To join the Indian Army first you can apply for the NDA Exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. This exam conducted by UPSC Twice in a year.

Indian Army

Indian Air force

Indian Navy

Indian Army can be joined through NDA(National Defence Academy) conducted by UPSC twice every year after 12th standard.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

First of all I would like to appreciate your decision to join the Indian army and serve for your country.

Friend there are some examinations after clearing which you will be able to join the Indian army

At 10+2 you have two options:

>>You can go for the National defense academy examinations.The age limit for this examination is 16.5-19 years.You must be unmarried male Indian.

>>If you have secure more than 75% in 10+2 in the PCM subjects then you can apply for the technical entry scheme at the joinindianarmy.nic.in.

At bachelor's degree level:

>>You can go for the Combined defense services.this examinations is also conducted twice every year by the UPSC .

>>The age limit is 19-25 years.

>>Both male and female candidates can apply for this exam.

Note : For all these examinations,after clearing written test you have to go for the physical test ,so you must satisfy the physical requirements also:
