The entrance examination conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is known as Common Proficiency Test.
The Common Proficiency Test comprise of a single paper carrying two hundred marks and in order to qualify the same, you will need to score a minimum of 50%. In order to pass with distinction, one must score a minimum of 70% marks.

The test is based on the following subject areas:

• Fundamentals of Accounting
• Mercantile Law
• Economics
• Quantitative Aptitude

I scoring 40% in 12th class can I apply for CA exams?
