Admission process for under graduation courses
Admission is done through a combined entrance examination called Uttar Pradesh State entrance examination. Candidates need to qualify UPSE Exam for admission to undergraduate courses in this institute. Candidates having valid score in the common entrance test and good marks in higher secondary examinations with subjects such as Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry from any recognized board are eligible for admission.
Final selection is conducted on the basis of performance in the entrance test and personal interview. Candidates are required to get the cut off marks prescribed by the institution for the entrance test. There will be specific cut off marks for various branches. Reserved category candidates will have a separate cut off score prescribed according to the government rules.
Admission process for Post Graduation Programmes
Candidates having valid GATE score can apply for the post graduate programmes offered by the institution. In addition to this, the institute conducts its own entrance test for candidates who don’t have a valid GATE score. Graduates having a minimum of 60 percentage marks are eligible to apply for the post graduate programs. Reserve category students require 55% marks in aggregate to qualify. Final selection will be based on the entrance test score and personal interview.
For programmes such as Master in Computer Applications, candidates are required to pass the state entrance test (UPSEE) for MCA, conducted by the state government. Candidates who have completed graduation and higher secondary with mathematics as the main subject are eligible to apply for this course.
The institute also considers the score of UPSEE for MBA as the eligibility criteria for admission to Master of Business Administration.
