Required percentage of marks in UG to do Post Graduate Degree in Astronomy? Best colleges in North India for this course?


I am a Bsc-1 (pcm) student. I want to do my post graduate degree in astronomy. So minimum of what % I have to secure in UG and which are the best colleges in North India for my education.

Physical Research Laboratory, Ahamedabad (PRL),
IndianInstitute of Science, Bangalore (IISc),
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai (TIFR)
Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (IIA),
National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune (NCRA-TIFR),
Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics, Pune (IUCAA),
Physical Research Laboratory, Ahamedabad (PRL),
Raman Research Institute, Bangalore (RRI)

Minimum eligibility for admission in Undergraduate course in Astronomy is:
In most of the institutions to take admission in you should pass with atleast 50% marks in your 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Percentage varies in different institutions.
Every top institution in astronomy wants a candidate to be best in Physics and Mathematics with an aptitude to do research in Astronomy.

M.Sc in astronomy or master's astronomy is a post graduate astronomy course. It is of duration of 2years.
To do the course one must have done graduation or it's equivalent.
The minimum percentage required in the graduation to do that course is 55%.

M.Sc astronomy course specialization..
-Solar and stellar physics
-Cosmology
-celestial mechanics.
MS astronomy eligibility:
• Those who passed three year B.sc with the same subject with high marks can choose the course.
• There is provision of entrance test on some universities as the entrance criterion for the course.

M.Sc astronomy college:-

•Karpagam university

• Punjab university

• Indian institute of science.
