you should have minimum score of 25 for gate for general category otherwise there is chances for gate. |

hello dear
see,GATE cut off varied year to year . last year cut off was 26 for EC for general candidate. 25-For CSE for general candidate. 30-For ME for general candidate. But don't if you can clear the gate exam then you can easily get chance to do mtech. then after you have to give an interview in every college/university. all the best...........

hii, to get into
1.IITs you must have minimum 96 percentile marks 2.IISC Bangalore you must have 99 percentile. 3.NITs you need 85 percentile marks. If you just clear the GATE exam then you are eligible for the good colleges of the state.

My friend the cut off in GATE exam is not fixed.. it varies every year, depending on the difficulty in question paper of GATE.. So, If the question is set hard then the cut-off is reduced.. If the question is comparatively easier then the cut-off is increased.. generally the cut-off stays around 27-30 marks... If you want to take admission in M.tech in good colleges then you have to score more than 40 marks... So, work hard.. study properly.. try to clear the concept..You must have good technical knowledge.. You can also take coaching classes for preparing GATE exam.. All the best..
