RTO stand for Regional Transport Officer exam conducted by the State Public Service Commission of every State.

There are different posts in RTO namley:

- Judicial Service post
- Sub Assistant Post
- clerk Post

Following are the eligibility for the different posts:

- For Judicial Service post : Candidate should have passed his/her bachelor in Law from recognized university.
Age Criteria : Candidate age should be minimum 21 years but not more than 34 years.

- For Sub Assistant Post : Candidate should have passed a degree in engineering or its equivalent from recognized institute.
Age criteria: Candidate age should be minimum 21 years but not more than 32 years.

- For Clerk Post : Candidate should have passed 10+2 in any stream from recognized board with 50% minimum marks.
Age Criteria: Candidate age should be minimum 18 years but not more than 37 years.

Following are the physical criteria required to apply for RTO exam are as under:

- Height : Not less than 168 cm

- Chest : 81 cm with 5 cm expansion

The exams are conducted at three different levels:

- Preliminary Examination

-Main Examination

- Interview

Eligibility criteria for Sub Assistant Engineer post in Regional Transport Office are:-
Candidate must have completed B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil with a recognized university.

Candidates' age must be under 23 years to 32 years. Upper age relaxation are applicable to candidates of reserved category.
