Re: Scope of Civil Engineering after 4 to 6 years?
The scope of Civil Engineering can be fore casted before 5 years but the problem is can Civil Engineering with stand economic crisis if happened in future like what happened recently.Since India is a developing country hence many real estate and building companies are coming up.There's a good chance for civil Engineer's to get settled in companies like L&T,GMR and other such heavy construction companies.
The economic crisis which recently happened effected all the sectors like CSE,IT,ECE,Automobile..etc hence if you have a good grip over your subjects then you can definitely with stand the crisis which may or may not come in the future.Civil Engineer's can even try out in the Government Sector by going through IES exam.Through this exam you can enter into all sectors like Navy,Railways..etc. |

Re: Scope of Civil Engineering after 4 to 6 years?
Definitely the demand for civil engineers and civil engineering will increase in the near future. The space constrain all over the world for constructing buildings have put forward new challenges for civil engineers. They have to device a plan in which they can utilize the given space to them in a judicious way. Now a day, due to the lack of space on land people have started to construct bridges through sea and lakes to connect one or more cities to the main land. The theoretical knowledge can come from civil engineers only. Along with civil engineering if you have basic knowledge about architecture, then it is an added advantage.

Re: Scope of Civil Engineering after 4 to 6 years?
dear friend,
My friend civil engineering is a core branch.. It has a bright future prospect.. As our country is a developing country , and as we all know that to develop a country it is very important to develop the infrastructure of the country.. For that reason lots of new construction companies are opening in our country.. so, you will get a huge opportunity to get a job in those construction company. Beside this you can appear in Civil service exams like-IAS, IES, IPS. You can also appear in defense exams like - EKT, TES, CDS etc.... After 5 years the branch will be very demanding.. So, it will be a good decision if you take civil engineering.. As the future prospect is very good in civil engineering.. Best wishes.. |

Mr Raja Badam , Though Civil engineering is good branch but it's not pay much as compare to other branches , field working hours are more compare to salaries , sometimes you have to work hard weather condition , responsible are more compare to pay scale are less , though civil engineering is vital for society still it is disrespected & less valuable branch in society as compare to other branches of engineering , am i right .
