Dear sir/mam,

Please tell me that what is scope of civil engineer in government job in 2018? How it's going to be after 3-4 years? Kindly give me the information soon on this. Awaiting for the information to proceed with applying for Civil Engineering and start the preparation for it accordingly.

Civil engineer is a good branch with good scope in future.

Civil engineering is one evergreen stream of engineering with lots of government job opportunities and career scope.

~~During final year of engineering, you can apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you score well and obtain good ranks within top 300-500, you will get opportunities for jobs in Public Sector Undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL etc.

~~ If you want to become IAS, IPS, IFS officer, you can appear for the Civil Services examinations conducted by UPSC.

~~For defense sector, you can appear for Combined Defense Services.

~~Indian Engineering Services - the most preferred career for civil engineers.

So there is lots of opportunity for civil engineers, you need to decide which is the best career option for you.
