Re: Scope of doing IPR?
Dear friend,
After doing B.pharm, there are huge aspects in the field of IPR. Industrial property or IP rights are extremely important for the pharmaceutical industry. It includes patents rights, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, trade secrets etc. As trademarks are very important factor in pharmaceutical industry doing IPR will give you great career opportunities. Where there is a need of privacy of important property documents and trademark or patent of any new inventions in the drug field,IPR holds a great role in these cases. site http://www.wipo.int/sme/en/documents/ip_pharma.html has all the information about advantages and disadvantages and risk factors please go through it before taking any kind of decision ...all the best! |

Re: Scope of doing IPR?
Though coined long back, IPR in India is gaining much attention and significance these days. So far as Patent is concerned the scope is very wide. To practice in the field of patent, you can opt for any course either LL.M., or any Diploma Course or Test for Patent Attorney.
If you choose to be a patent practitioner, then I would suggest you to go for anything except LL.M., because, your focus will get diverted on getting good result instead of understanding the practical aspects. you need to give a lot time for reading. There is no ready material or reference books available at one library. Ya but if you want to go in teaching line, then it is must. So far as the practice is concerned, knowledge makes man perfect, start reading anything relating to IPR. you can learn the basics from different sites viz. WIPO, WTO, http://www.tmpsearchers.com, etc. Also go through various convention of IP, read case laws of IP. I think this will help you. |
