Frankly speaking right now in India there is great future in IT.
There are only some core companies of ECE such as ISRO, DRDO, etc.
It may take a minimum of 7yrs for Electronics boom to flourish in India.
If you want to join in core companies then you have to work very hard. Orelse you can take ECE and can join in IT companies. Therefore ECE is alrounder and ECE ALWAYS FLOURISHES.

Well! the scope of electronics and communication in India is good. This stream contains both core electronis part and communication part. It also covers the IT subjects also. So anyone reading in this stream can get jobs in three fields, that is software development, Core Electronics as well as communication. There are also many government jobs of this stream. You can get information about those government jobs from "EMPLOYMENT NEWS" newspaper. There are also many private core companies of electronics. You can also get jobs in those companies.

There is no doubt in this , ECE branch is also the most popular branch.
there is a vast carrier in this branch.
there are many of the companies which offers a job in the ece branch.
like SINTEL,DRDO,TCS etc.

each of the department have a high requirment of ECE candidates.

so, this is not the subject of worry.
many of the goverment jobs are also available these candidates.
but you have to prepare for this.

If that was the condition i think it is better to go with the core side companies.

As they don't much prefer about communication skills.

Otherwise with better courses you can improve your communication skills.

For core companies better to have knowledge regarding embedded systems,VLSI......etc
