The basic eligibility for appearing in the JEE 2017 is 12th standard from any well affiliated board. You must not have any backlog in your 12th exam. Candidates appearing in 12th exams are eligible for JEE 2017. Also candidate who had passed 12th class in 2015 and 2016 were eligible for JEE 2017.
You are not eligible for appearing in JEE 2017 because the minimum percentage required in 12th exam for appearing in JEE is 75%. However if you belongs to reserved category then you are eligible for appearing in the JEE exams.

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination. It is an All India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted by CBSE for offering admission to Engineering courses in various colleges of India mainly IITs and NITs.

JEE examination has two parts namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main score can be used to get admission in NITs and for getting admission in IITs, you must have to secure good rank in JEE Advanced examination.
