I want to know whether the 10th board certificate for date of birth proof is required to be attested by a gazetted officer or is it to be self attested. Thanks

Dear friend
One can self attested his marks sheets including 10th certificate for different purposes but sometimes it become necessary for someone to get attested his copies from a gazatted officer. It all depends upon the demands of institutions, commissions or exam boards etc. Staff selection commission and some others departments provides the facilities to applicants for self attest of their documents

it is not required in all cases but in some special cases like if you have shifted your living place from one to another then in the preceeding officials may ask the attesment from an gazeted officer

i too faced this problem

its compulsory in such cases

but generally it is not required

yes, school/college principal has authority to attest educational certificates.

Are retired class I gazetted defence officers who are drawing pension eligible to attest xerox copies.

I have not attested my 10th class certificate and sent it to the iit ,is it a matter of worry?

i m gazetted doctor in gujrat and many student come for attestation which disturbs health work many a time. i want to know there is two government primary and one high school in near location . thet allways send student to doctor as they say regular principle is not present and some one with charge is present and he can not attest is it true? also want to know primary govt school principle can attest or not ?

Is an Assistant Engineer a gazetted officer with power to attest certificates? Does the rubber stamp of a gazetted officer mention that he/she is a gazetted officer?

You should attested ur date of birth certificate from the gazetted officer,B.D.O,head of ur institute.

Whether Government School Lecturers are authorised to attest copies of certificates

Whether the Government School Lecturers are authorised to attest life certificates of pensioners
