Master of Business Administration is 2 years long management course. The specialization for the course should be decided upon your interest. For example if you want to work in IT industry then go for the MBA in IT.

Similarly if you want to go in banking sector, go for MBA in Banking or perhaps Finance. This is how it works. You need to decide the field in which you want to have job and do MBA course related to it.

Some of the MBA specializations are:-

Finance

Economics

Information Technology

Health Care

Retail Management

Banking

Marketing

Human Resources

Tourism

You need to apply for entrance exam to get admission for the MBA course. Ideally the candidates prefer to go for Common Admission Test since it is accepted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM).

Although there are several other good colleges that also accept Common Admission Test. You can appear for Common Admission Test if scored 50 percent marks in graduation course.

Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe need to score 45 percent marks in graduation to appear for the Common Admission Test. There is no percentage relaxation for OBC candidates.

If you are not eligible for the Common Admission Test then consider appearing for one of the following exams:-

MAT

GMAT

JMET

XAT

KMAT

RMAT

TANCET

ICET

SNAP

IIFT

MBA stands for Master in Business Administration. The duration of this course in India is two years. In some of the countries, UK for eg, the duration of the course there is one year only. The demand of this course is quite high as pursuing MBA means a lucrative job with a pay packet for many. The number of colleges offering this course has also gone up drastically to meet the growing demands of this course.

Following are the different types of MBA available:-
  • Two-year Full Time MBA Program
  • Accelerated MBA Program
  • Part Time or Weekend MBA Program
  • Executive MBA Program
  • Distance Learning MBA Program
  • Dual MBA Programs
List of MBA Specializations:-
  • MBA in Finance
  • MBA in Entrepreneurship
  • MBA in Executive / Mgt.
  • MBA in Hospitality and Tourism
  • MBA in Telecommunications
  • MBA in International Business

  • MBA in Sports Management
  • MBA in Enterprise Management
  • MBA in Project Management
  • MBA in Marketing

Now for MBA the marks one secures at graduation level apparently seems irrelevant since these days there are lots of entrance exams for MBA which allows even the graduates with pass marks to apply for this course. But i would recommend you to maintain at least 50% or more marks at grad level to ensure that you can sit for the top entrance exams like CAT or SNAP. This will only help you in choosing better colleges and brighten your future in the process.

Following are the top MBA Entrance Exams you can look forward to:-
  • CAT: Common Admission Test
  • MAT: Management Aptitude Test
  • XAT: Xavier Aptitude Test
  • CMAT: Common Management Admisison Test
  • IIFT: Indian Institute of Foreign Trade
  • ATMA: AIMS Test for Management Admissions

After Computer Engineering, you choose specialization anyone with your interest
MBA Marketing
MBA HR
MBA Systems Management
MBA IT

MBA IT is good after Computer Engineering.

For second specialization, you go for Marketing or HR.

MBA is entrance exam based. You can apply for CAT Exam or other state level Exam and qualify in it for admission.
