Re: Step by step details to Become Collector?
Becoming collector means joining the Indian Administrative Services. The entrance exam for the different civil services of Indian government like IPS, IRS, IAS etc is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and is called Civil Services examination.
Here is the step by step approach to become IAS officer: Step 1: Satisfying the eligibility criteria for the Civil Services exam. >>Graduation is the minimum academic qualification required to be eligible for this exam. As you have done bachelor of commerce, you are eligible for the exam. The age limit is 21-32 years for general category candidates. Upper age relaxed upto three years for OBC candidates and five years to SC/ST candidates. Step 2: When you are eligible for the exam, you need to apply for the Civil Services exam if you have done proper preparation for the exam. Notifications are generally out in month of May. You can apply online at www.upsconline.gov.in. Step 3: Appear for the various stages of this exam and crack each stage so as to proceed to further. There are three stages of this exam: >>Preliminary Exam. >>Main examination. >>Personal interview. Now, if you clear the all the three stages and your rank is among top ranks upto which IAS is alloted, then you can become collector after training and some years of service. |
